INELDA Trained End-of-Life Doula

Hi, my name is Heather Hill, and I am an End of Life Doula.
I completed my training in July of 2022 with INELDA. I have been a caregiver for the previous 17 years – on a personal basis, as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (6 years), and then as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Over the years, I have seen a great need, both personally and professionally, for someone to assist family members, caregivers, and the individuals themselves in initiating hard conversations around death and, more importantly, dying well. I have been in several situations where others have relied on me for education and/or care, or sometimes to just provide a listening ear and an open heart so they could express their wants, needs, and concerns.
I am always honored by the trust others put in me and long to make everyone’s end-of-life journey as peaceful and meaningful as possible, perhaps through a legacy project, a personalized vigil, or perhaps just a hand to hold and a shoulder to lean on.
Every human is unique, as is every end-of-life situation. my goal will always be to do what is best to help each individual and their loved ones, through this difficult time.
